Ricardo and the team spent the free practice sessions working on car set up and tires for the first Stock Car race of 2008, getting the ideal set up with the new Goodyear tires for classification and the first laps of the race but also learning how to protect the tire compound for the second half of the race.

The experiences of the pre-season testing, and with more data acquired throughout the day, has led the team to what is considered the ideal situation. "We already have an idea for the set up of the car. From what we have seen here, we can say that the adjustment is good for classification and the race, "said Ricardo, who registered the 9th best time. Besides the personal satisfaction, there is also a collective satisfaction, because of the performance presented by the Goodyear tires since they started to supply the cars of Stock Car. "We did not make any simulation of over 10 laps, but with our success I can say that the compounds have a very consistent performance after the initial wear," said Ricardo.

Classification for the first race will commence at 11.25 (local time)
