The attempt is to have the car set up as good as the last season, when Ricardo was so near to his first victory in Stock Car, leading the race, until the car broke down five laps before the end. A big expectation, since there are differences regarding 2007. Still, the feeling was good in the garages of Panasonic Racing this Friday (2), after free training for the race of Brasilia, the second of the season, scheduled for Sunday at 11:00 (local time). "We have some details to improve, especially with the new tires, but expectations are growing all the time," said Augusto Cesário, chief engineer.

Ricardo, who was 9th in the morning and 23rd in the afternoon, he said that in the last training the focus was not on the timings, but on the pace of the race. "The training of Friday depends very much on the tire and we prefer to up our game tomorrow. I liked the feel of the car, but I think we gained a little speed, "revealed the driver. " In the first stage my car was very unstable and but this seems to be resolved. The most important thing is that the chassis is responding better to what I ask. There is little for me to be really competitive, but this is the job for taking time, "said Ricardo Sperafico. The training which defines the positions for the starting grid,  which is conducted in three stages, begins tomorrow at 11.25 (local time). Unlike forecasts, the morning had plenty of sunshine and heat in Brasilia and at least for what you see in the sky, it should stay like this until Sunday. "I prefer that the race is on dry track," concluded Ricardo.
