Crystal Racing Team drivers Ricardo Zonta and Julio Campos are making steady progress in this season's Copa Caixa Stock Car. Both drivers scored points in the last race, at Londrina, last Sunday.
The former F1 driver started on sixth position and made a very good race, fighting with drivers like Valdeno Brito, Átila Abreu, Duda Pamplona and Allam Khodair. An accident involving Valdeno, Átila and Duda helped Zonta, who overtook Khodair and finished fifth.

"I made two mistakes on the early stages of the race due to a lot of dirty on the track. But I recovered myself with good opportunities and overtakings, and now I'm the best driver who is not contesting the playoff", said Zonta.

Campos also made a mistake on the start of the race, falling to the end of the grid, but making an aggressive race, recovering 13 positions and finishing 15th, scoring a point. "Unfortunately, I have a problem on lap 4 and only catched the cars in front at the end of the race, passing four of them and scoring a point. That's all."

Brasília will be the stage of the next round, in two weeks time.
