2005 Hungary

Ricardo had a bit of a nightmare first session, for the first part he was second to Wurz time, on his 11th lap he had a spin, then on lap 18 he drove round the track very slowly in to the pits, where he was pushed into the garage, he finished the session in 16th place with a time of 1:24.270s, 2.869s behind Wurz's time.Second practice and Ricardo was getting some good pace up, and with moments to spare he did it!! posted the fastest time of the session with a time of 1:20.409s and completed 24 laps, well done Ricardo!!
Ricardo had this to say on the Toyota-f1 web site “I enjoy driving in Hungary but you have to be a little bit cautious on Friday because the circuit is always very dusty,” the Brazilian explained. “It was hard to find a balance early on but the surface conditions change quite a lot when the tyre rubber goes down and I had a good day. It’s always good to see your name at the top of the time sheets! I lost a little bit of time in the first session with a hydraulics problem, but apart from that everything ran smoothly, I got through the program and I think we are looking good.”  Ricardo will now go off for the next few weeks to enjoy a well deserved break on his farm near Curitiba in Brazil...Enjoy the rest!!
